    1. [INLAWREN] Buzzaird/Browne/Grafton
    2. I am seeking information on the descendents of Walter Pulmer Buzzaird and Mary Browne who were married in Owen County (although the marriage is recorded in Monroe) on Dec. 15, 1898. They were both teachers, although at the time of the marriage he was the assistant superintendent of the Metropolitan Insurance Company at Bedford. I think he had at least one son, Orville Ernest, who married Ruth Grafton, reportedly from Bedford. They all went to Texas about 1940. Walter is the brother of my grandfather, Elmer Sherman Buzzaird. I have corresponded with another researcher in Texas, and we're pretty sure we're related. Now we just have to prove it. Are there birth records available in Bedford? If so, how can I access them? Any suggestions from you Lawrence County researchers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Frankie Hammond Alachua, FL

    3. All Lawrence County researchers take notice of this message: Okay, it has been 20 minutes since I got your email concerning Mitchell funeral homes. I live in Mitchell and decided to take another approach to your information. The Mitchell Community Library has a great resource for information such as this. The obituaries that were printed in the local newspaper (Mitchell Tribune) have been indexed by surname by year from the 1880s by a researcher (Helen Ackerman) here in the Mitchell area who has spent obviously a great deal of time in compiling this information. So, with a call to the library, I have determined that James Sizemore, a city councilman, born Jul 28, 1866 in Lee Co., VA had his obituary printed in the May 6, 1915 edition of the Mitchell Tribune. I would suggest that you call or email the library and get the full obituary. Unfortunately, it does not list the funeral home nor the place of burial. You can reach the library's home page on the web directly at http://www.mitlib.org In the Mitchell Area Web Site http://www.mitchell-indiana.org/library.htm you may find more information as what resources the library has. 3. I'm also very curious about this cemetery, it's the first I've heard of it. My ancestor, John Sutton, was often listed in the history books with a George Sheeks, whose cabin is now on display in some sort of museum/village place. I'm wondering if John Sutton could be buried in this cemetery. Was it named for the George Sheeks I'm thinking of, or any relation of his? Thanks for the info! 1. [INLAWREN] Indiana Primitive Baptist Research
    2. Robert L Webb
    3. Dear list members, We are interested in learning of the location of any manuscript church records which may exist for Primitive Baptist churches in Indiana (as well as other states). If any of you know of any, please let me know. We are trying to preserve them, film them, extract names of members from them, and then write histories of the churches and name the surnames of the members, on our website, which will be a tool for family history researchers as well as church history researchers. We have several already, for Indiana, and are presently working on this project for Missouri and Indiana, after having pretty much completed what we can do for Illinois and Iowa with the records we have. Our website, if you wish to see for yourself what we are doing, is: http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/pbl.html (the ".html" at the end must be appended for it to work - the URL is lengthy and tends to cut off part of the html, so it must be put back on, before you click on it, to go to our site). After you reach our homepage, there are links to click on for about 14 states, but only Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Indiana have much or some completed at this time. We welcome you to write on one of our guestbooks. Sincerely, Robert Webb The Primitive Baptist Library ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
