I'm hoping some of you may be able to help with my brick wall. She is: Elizabeth C. (Bettie) ROBERTS, b. 3/3/1861 in KY. d. 10/8/1939 in TN. Her death certificate lists her mother as: Gertrude WALLING b. Bedford, IN. and her father is (unknown) ROBERTS, b. in KY. Elizabeth shows up in 1880, Jackson, Orange County, IN. Census, married to: David A. EDWARDS, b. in Ky. I've been able to track her until her death in 1939. But have been unable to find her or her parents listed in KY, IN, or TN census. Let me know if you have anything on any of the above names. I gladly share information. I apologize if any of you get a duplicate email. Thank you, Brenda Edwards Nashville, TN.

Indiana became a state Dec 11, 1816 (the 19th state) and what is now Lawrence Co., and Lawrence county was formed Jan 7, 1818. The Freeman Survey of 1802 shows what is now Lawrence county, to be part of Knox County, Indiana Territory. So........no 1810 census for Lawrence county,Indiana........ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Katherine Jenkins-Wensel" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 16, 2002 4:58 PM Subject: Re: [INLAWREN] Searching for James T. Mary Lou, I am not sure without further checking, but Lawrence may not have been a county in 1810, I don't find it listed in the 1810 census. The 1820 census for Lawrence Co., is on line at: http://www.census-online.com/links/IN/Lawrence/ first click on 1820 census then click on "lawrence.txt" and it will list all the names and how many people in the households and age groups. If you click on 1820 census and then "1820indx.txt" you will find what pages your Smith's are on. As far as your other questions I can't answer them. Hello Cousins! I received this from Linda Lewis who has ties to the Beever and Little families. Please contact Linda directly if you are interested in discussing these lines. Her address is: [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: Frank Lewis [mailto:[email protected]] I have inherited the boxes of old family photos and am trying to put it into a more readable format. In the process I have found that my 2x great grandfather, Ephraim BEEVER was born in Bedford, Indiana 8 Oct 1833 or 1834. He later moved to Washington CO, IL, where he and his wife Rebecca LITTLE farmed & spent the rest of their life. I have a photo of them & all their adult children, if there are any others who are researching the BEEVER family. My great-aunt was wonderful about keeping the family record, so there is more. Please let me know what would be helpful to others. Sincerely, Linda Lewis [email protected]

Looking for Dudley Curl, believed died in Indiana. Known to have leased a farm in Monroe County in 1820 from his son John Curl but was in IN in the area by 1818. Wife, Penelope turns up in MO in 1829 alone so Dudley must have died between 1820-1829, Smallpox epidemic? Any information on him gratefully received. This is my brick wall! Curl Stan Staniforth

George & Hettie lived in Huron, Lawrence Co., IN, in a General Store, which may have been theirs. I am looking for census information from the years 1850 through 1920 on these names. I don't know if Hettie King was her married name before she married George Connerly, or if she had Clifford & Harding out of wedlock, which is possible, but doubtful. The name Connerly could be spelled Connerley, as well. Thanks, Pat
