Also beware of: Attachments you are not expecting from someone, even someone you know. I'm not sure if the spam mailers are grabbing our email addresses off of Rootsweb or what, but a few of us have corresponded with "HUH??? what is this??? Did you send me this???" If an unexpected attachment comes, even from someone you know, DO NOT DOWNLOAD it! Instead, hit reply and ask "HUH?? What is this??? Did you send this??" like the rest of us have been doing. Wait for their reply before you download and make sure they really sent it. ALSO beware of: Genealogy Experts, Genseekers, Genlocator, Family Discovery (ALL are one scam artist) who will tell you they have info for you...make you pay for membership to their site which is nothing more than links to GenWeb databases! Their "library" is links to data that all of us have posted...and dont even think theyre not going to charge you after the 5 days...see the Google link below.
