Hello, I am looking for someone in the area that would want to be a volunteer to do courthouse lookups (or any other lookups) in Lake county. I would like to get the Volunteer Lookups page going....plus I get requests a lot to do them and I won't deal with the courthouse. I've never had any luck with them, and hate telling people that I couldn't get anything for them...but if you have had luck here, and are interested in helping others with ancestors in our county, please please let me know. There is a huge need here! Here's another one I got today: "I tried requesting that the court house look up said marriage record, but they wrote back saying that they weren't staffed to do look ups.
