The Hammond Times Indiana Dec. 5, 1940 Engagement Announced Sunday was an important day for Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. BUDA, 1303? 149th Street, for on that day they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and also announced the engagement of their daughter Helen, to Casimer NOWINSKI, son of Mr. and Mrs. William NOWINSKI of Chicago. More than 60 guests heard the announcement at a dinner party last Sunday in the BUDA residence. The head table was beautifully decorated with a large engagement ring made of star-dust, and flowers. Miss BUDA, a graduate of Catholic Central high school, has set no date for her wedding.
