The Hammond Times Indiana Feb. 22, 1943 Obits David F. CANADAY, 53, employed by the Hammond Times as a linotype operator for the last 18 years died this morning at St. Margarets after a lingering illness indured by a heart attack. He was popularly known as "Dave". Born in Nebraska, CANADAY had been a Hammond resident since 1926. He was a past commander of the American Legion Post 16 drum and bugle corps and belonged to the Chicago Typographical Union No. 16.
