The Vidette-Messenger May 6, 1938 Obits Memorial services for Thomas E. REIBLY, of Gary, formerly of Valparaiso, who died Tuesday night in Des Moines, Ia., following an appendetomy a week ago, were held in the Williams & Burns Chapel in Gary this afternoon. Burial was in the Hobart cemetery. Mr. REIBLY, who was forty-eight years old, was born and reared in Valparaiso, and went to Gary in 1920, following world war service with the A.E.F. in France and later with the American Army of Occupation in Germany. He became associated with the Grantham Auto Corporation, and was sales manager at the time of his death. His wife, Alfreda CARLSON, died several years ago. He resided with his mother-in-law, Mrs. Ida CARLSON, in Gary. He had gone to Des Moines to return with Mrs. CARLSON and her daughter, Miss Mabel CARLSON, to Gary from a visit when he became ill.
