I'm looking for information on the family of Elias Crane and Rebecca J. McHenry. They were married in Winfied, Lake Co on Aug 12 1855. I haven't been able to find them on the census for either 1850 or 1860. I know that my great grandmother was born in Michigan City, LaPorte Co in 1862, but have never been able to place her with her parents on any census. Her death certificate lists her parents as Elias Crane and Emma McHenry, but I think they may have been wrong about the mother's first name. I've found Rebecca's brothers, John W, Caleb and David all living in Winfield in 1860, along with her mother, Elizabeth, but have not been able to find her. Any help would be appreciated. Leslie
