    3. The Hammond Times Monday July 23, 1945 page 1 Ex-Alderman Lauerman Dies Lost Calumet City Office last April Fred F. LAUERMAN, 57, former alderman of Calumet City, died Sunday morning in St. Margaret's hospital. He was night superintendent of the United Chemical plant in Calumet City. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. from Burns funeral home, 5840 Hohman avenue, Hammond, and at 10 a.m. in St. Victor's church, Calumet City, with the Rev. T. J. BERMINGHAM officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Gary. Surviving are his wife, Nell; five sons, Cpl. Richard, of the eighth air force in England; Thomas, an electrician's mate 1/c, in San Diego; William, Paul, and Edward of Calumet City; four daughters, Lt. Jeanne DILLON of the army nurse corps at Greensboro, N. C., and the Misses Patricia, Ruth and Helen of Calumet City. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Eva SCHMITT, of Calumet City; three sisters, Mrs. Phillip DEBOLD of Calumet City, Mrs. O. J. PREVO and Mrs. Frank SOLNER, both of Hammond; a brother, William, of Calumet City. LAUERMAN, who was born in Friend, Nebr., was a resident of the Calumet area for 43 years. He was president of St. Vincent de Paul society and a member of the Holy Name society of St. Victor's.
