Indianapolis Blvd., following an illness. Mr. and Mrs. Steve STRAKA were married by the Rev. Benedict Rajcany? on Sept. 6, 1897, in the first St. John frame church building. CHILLA Mrs. Andrew PUNCHO? both of Whiting Brothers: Steve, Michael and Andrew KUBECK, all of Whiting John of Chesterton Mrs. STRAKA, a resident of Whiting 43 years, was born in Czechoslovakia. She was a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, the First Catholic Slovak Union No. 81, The Rosary Society and the Altar Society of St. John's church. She and her husband were one of the founders of the parish. Services Thursday from the residence and from St. John's church with Rev. John Kostik officiating. Burial in the St. John cemetery, Hammond.
