The Hammond Times Indiana Nov. 16, 1942 Obits Semi-pro ball star succumbs Felix "Fat" GRACZYK, 47, of 4426 Baltimore Avenue, Hammond, a World War Veteran and a former semi-pro baseball player, died yesterday at his home following a heart attack. GRACZYK, who recently was rejected because of the heart condition when he sought to volunteer in the Army, played with the DUFFY FLORALS two decades ago and resided in Hammond for 38 years. He was employed as a punch press operator at the Standard Railway Equipment Company.
