MC LAIN Dies on Stretcher The East Chicago police station received word that a man was dying alongside Peterson's saloon, 4601 Forsyth Avenue. Sterling and Muha went with stretchers and brought in Arthur A. McLAIN, 72 years of age, employed as a machinist at the B & O round house. McLAIN died on the stretcher. Dr., Johns was called and death was pronounced due to heart trouble. The deceased was a resident of this city for the past 18 or 20 years, rooming at the time of his death at 4729 Northcote Avenue. He leaves six children: Charles Derby John Helen and Annie Mrs. L. R. BLISS at Detroit Two of the boys are in government service, one at the Brooklyn Navy yards. None of the children live in East Chicago, Helen being at Detroit with Mrs. BLISS.
