He was a watchman at the Linde Air Company and was a former member of the city police force. The Hammond Times Indiana July 2, 1935 Obits Amato PERA, aged 87, a former resident here, died yesterday at the home of his son, Alesandro PERA, of Lawrence, Michigan, after a lingering illness. The deceased who was born in Luca, Tuscany, Italy, came to this country in 1914, and until recently made his home in East Chicago. He is survived by: Son: Alesandro Daughter: Mrs. Ziera LENCIONI of East Chicago Four grandchildren, Amato and Fred PERA, and Nancy and Arthur LENCIONI. Funeral arrangments are incomplete.

    3. The Hammond Times Indiana June 20, 1935 Obits A pioneer of Indiana Harbor who was born on the present site of the large Buffingron cement plant 42 years ago died yesterday. He was Timothy KELLY an oil bridge operator at the Inland Steel Company. Death followed a short illness at the home of his brother, Charles KELLY at 4016 Deal Streeet. The deceased was not married. KELLY was one of seven children born in the tiny group of cottages which marked the town which has since become a hugh industrial center. Both of his parents are dead. Survivors: Brothers: Charles, Edward and William Sisters: Mrs. Agnes LINCOLN Mrs. Catherine KILLINGER Mrs. Hazel DUNKELBERGER. All except Mrs. KILLINGER who lives in Houston reside in Indiana Harbor. Services Saturday from St. Patrick's church, with internment at the Calvary cemetery in Gary. The body is at the undertaking parlor at 3438 Elm Street.

    3. The Hammond Times Indiana July 8, 1935 Obits Mother of local man passes Sunday Mrs. R. H. VAN ALSTINE, mother of Robert L. VAN ALSTINE, prominent East Chicago man, died yesterday at her home, 5519 Kenwood Avenue, Chicago. She was 83 years of age. Her son is employed here at the offices of the U. S. Investment Company, a part of the Riley Organization. Other survivors include: Daughter: Mrs. L. LORENZEN of Chicago Grandchildren: Bernhardt and Ellen LORENZEN. The body will remain at the Fife chapel until this evening, when it will be shipped to Gilmore City, Iowa for burial.

REIBLY, of Gary, formerly of Valparaiso, who died Tuesday night in Des Moines, Ia., following an appendetomy a week ago, were held in the Williams & Burns Chapel in Gary this afternoon. Burial was in the Hobart cemetery. Mr. REIBLY, who was forty-eight years old, was born and reared in Valparaiso, and went to Gary in 1920, following world war service with the A.E.F. in France and later with the American Army of Occupation in Germany. He became associated with the Grantham Auto Corporation, and was sales manager at the time of his death. His wife, Alfreda CARLSON, died several years ago. He resided with his mother-in-law, Mrs. Ida CARLSON, in Gary. He had gone to Des Moines to return with Mrs. CARLSON and her daughter, Miss Mabel CARLSON, to Gary from a visit when he became ill.
