I have so many links to LaGrange Co. I will start on my father's side. MACHAN - John Logan Machan moved to LaGrange Co. in 1865 from Tuscarawas Co. OH. John's sister Rebecca married Isaac CUSTER - at least one of their descendants also moved to LaGrange Co. John Logan's son Samuel married Nancy Ann PRESTON, daughter of James Preston Jr. who came from Trumbull Co. OH. The Prestons were in Beaver and Fayette Co. PA before that. ATWATER - William Atwater and his bride Martha CRAVEN came to Newbury Twp. from Wayne Co. NY in 1856. My grandmother was his youngest daughter.
