I am looking for connections and/or information on the following family. Levi DALLAS married Caroline NEWHOUSE, 27 Oct 1859. Caroline was born in Hocking County, OH and died in Lagrange County, IN. You're in the middle of a search. You click for the next page and "the server is too busy." Not necessarily. Go back a page and click again. After two or three times, I'm back on about 50% of the time.

Should you ever manage to get online, I found a secret. Click the custom search option. Choose IGI. Select the region North America. Then type in just the name of the person you're looking for. Don't bother with parents; it doesn't seem to help. I got tons more reports than I did on the main page, which supposedly had checked the IGI. I wanted to see what would happen if I did the same thing for the Ancestry Files, but now all I get is "closed for maintenance." Happy Easter. Kathleen

You see, I'm hoping the Emily LADD living with him is a widowed daughter, because an Emily LADD m. Anson CLARK in LaGrange in 1854, which is the closest reference to my ancestor William D. CLARK's parents (b. 1859, LaGrange to Anson CLARK & Emily LEWIS) I've been able to find. Olmstead also married that year to Hiley Reynolds. In the 1860 census, he's moved to Perry Twp., Noble Co., has a wife Philaam (Hiley misheard?), and only Lafayette at home. There's a Harry OMSTEAD in LaGrange who became quite prominent. There was also a Lewis OLMSTEAD in Aurelius, Chautauqua Co., NY, who was important. Relative? Just someone to name your kid after, like Lafayette? Pure coincidence? Jan, where in New York did Samuel come from? Do you know? BTW, William CLARK went to work for the Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad. There's an Anson D. Clark in Lenawee. I am trying to locate a book on the family of Johann Peter Lembrech/ Valentin Lembrech. The book was put together by two ladies who I suspect have since passed away.
