My gggrandmother Sarah Elder's maiden was Hoppis! She married William Elder on March 9, 1851 in Kosciusko County. Sarah Jane Hoppis was b. December 13, 1832 in Ohio, to Christian and Lydia Ann Hoppis (Glick), Sarah d. May 20, 1901 in Claypool, Indiana.
