I am looking for as much information as I can get on Lewis Kiger, who was a farmer living in Tippecanoe Twp., of Kosciusko County. Lewis first shows up in the 1850 census, under the name of "Kizer", they moved to Kosciusko County from Ohio sometime after the 1840 census. The census shows 6 children all born in Ohio. I have not seen the 1860 census as yet to see what spelling they have for his last name, but I do have a copy of the 1870 census which shows the spelling as Kiger and all the children have left Lewis's home. In checking the Marriage records on your website I show some of his children listed and one in particular, Sarah Kiger or as listed in the records as Kiser, married a Frederick Greider on 27 Jan 1861. They must have had a farm near Lewis's, because in the 1870 census they are listed as neighbors, if I read it right. I also have found the obit of Lewis from April 16 1885 the Indianan Republican as follows: "Death: Lewis Kiger, aged 84, an old resident of this township, died at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. Grider, at Oak Grove, His remains were interred in Webster cemetery." Is anyone aware of any decendents of Sarah and Lewis Kiger? Thank you for any help Walter John Kiger
