Tangent subject: Several months ago, I saw mention of an"e-Board" on one of my craft mail lists. I investigated, and at that time started one -just for fun. The home page is www.eboard.com It is the alternative to building a web site. "Your own 'virtual corkboard' where you can post messages, photos and links online in seconds. With an eBoard you can quickly and easily make information assessable to others on you own private place online. eBoard is perfect for anyone who would like to put information or photos online but doesn't have the need for a web site. You can use eBoard as a personal home page, a "home base" for your family and friends, or a PRIVATE place to share messages and photos with a special group." There's more explanation and a demo on the web page... it took me about 1 minute to sign up and another 10 minutes to build a very simple board. You give out the URL to the persons you want to see the information. It's menu-based and very simple. Perhaps as you explore the concept, you will think of ideas, but if you have a scanner and wish to share Christmas photos with family and friends afar... this is a really neat way to do it. You will want to experiment with sizes. Of course you don't have to use photos...you can put text only on your board easily. Try getting one together over the holidays! Use your imagination... I think you may find lots of uses for this new way of communicating with family & friends... If you are interested in seeing another example.. try www.eboard.com/margesboard That is the "example" board that I set up just to show how the board can be used.
