John Henry Metcalf was born in Koscuiske Co., Indiana. His father, Joseph Metcalfe, altho born in Ohio, was married in Fayette, Indiana, to Sarah Heck in 1830. John Henry Metcalf was married to Margaret Ellen Henry. I have only been able to go back as far as Issace Metcalfe (Joseph's father), born 13 Feb 1784 in Yorkshire, England, married to Mary Spencer 25 Feb 1808 in England. Any info on these families would be appreciated.
