Funk, born about 1811, was a farmer in Clay Township, Kosciusko County with real estate worth $1,800. He was 39 years old. He and Catherine were married in Ohio in about 1840. With George Gall, he was joint administrator of the estate of his wife's father in Stark County, Ohio. Date of birth calculated from his tombstone was 04 December, 1809. There were three children in the Funck household in 1850: Sylvanus, James, and Delila. There were two other Funk households in Clay Township in 1850, living side by side. The first was headed by Jacob Funck the elder, a 65 year old farmer born in Maryland. The second was headed by George Funk, a 25 year old farmer born in Ohio. The elder Jacob was widowed, with seven children still at home. An individual International Genealogical Index Record on Family Search identified a Jacob B. Funk born 02 Aug 1811 in Stark County Ohio as the son of Jacob Funk, senior. Jacob Funck Senior was also living in Kosciusko County in 1960. The FamilySearch record identified the wife of Jacob senior as Mary Bowers. On Gencircles.Com, I found record of a man who may have been Jacob Funk Senior, born 08 May 1785 in Lancaster County PA [not Maryland]. His father was also Jacob Funk, and his mother was Elizabeth Musser. I have lots of information about descendants of Jacob and Catherine Funk. They had seven children. Judy
