Buried in Oakwood Cemetery - Lot 33, Block 17 are 9 persons and ashes of 2. Among those are: Sara MEINARDI (died Jan. 5 1934 in Port Chester, NY) Rev. Garrett MEINARDI (died Columbus Ohio May 17, 1927) ashes of Ruth MASON (according to cem. records was 56 yrs. old died 1967.) Obit for Mrs. Sarah Meinardi of N.Y.C. formerly of Warsaw.reads in part.."The descedent is survived by 2 daughters Helen & Ruth." Excerpt from "REMEMBER WHEN" 6-13-95 in Warsaw Times Union: "Hoagy CARMICHAEL, 46, Hoosier composer of "Stardust" and numerous other popular song hits, who married a Winona Lake girl, Ruth Menardi, is acclaimed as a big-time coming movie star..." I would like to know if RUTH MASON and RUTH MENARDI CARMICHAEL are the same person, and if so, where and when did she die. (No record of obit in Warsaw Times Union in Doug Mayer's index for 1965-1969.) Is anyone researching this family? Would like to know the answers. THANKS in advance. marge P.S.
