Yesterday I received my great grandparent's, Charles Bert Neff and Susie Bell Stobaugh, marriage license in the mail. It doesn't have the names of their parents or any additional information available. Would there be a marriage application some place? I have the same problem with a marriage license in Putnam County. Is this typical for IN? Any help will be appreciated. Happy hunting to all, Susan/CA
MY experience is that it's better to pay for and get a marriage application (if there is one) rather than the license. It holds much more information and if you tell the clerks what information you're looking for, they'll usually send it and charge only IF it contains what you're after. At least that's my experience in Delaware County, IN. Try that and see.
