It appears that your James Bybee is in fact the brother of my great grandfather, Adam Bybee. They were the son's of Sherrod Bybee and Nancy Royal. Sherrod, b. 1770-1780 in Ky married Nancy Royal, b. 1780 in Ar, married in 1808.They had the following children, George D,b. circa 1808, Sherrod A, b. circa 1812, James, b. circa 1815,Adam, b. circa 1820 and Mary Elizabeth, b. circa 1824. After the death of Sherrod, it appears that Nancy remarried James Henry McPherson aned they had one son, Charles Royal McPherson, b. 10 Jan 1832 at Little Rock, Ar. According to White Counnty Court Records in Ar, Adam Bibee petitioned for a divorce from Elizabeth Bibee on 15 April 1845 and the divorce was granted, therefore his marriage to Nancy Royal on 27 April 1848 in White Co, Ar was his second marriage. Adam and Nancy had 2 daughters, Nancy b. 1849 and Mary Molly, b. 1855. Mary Molly married my grandfather, James Mil! ton Pinkett and they had two sons, James Henry and William Oscar, who was my father.
