The Isaac J. Dawson Family migrated from Brown County Ohio (1820& 1830) to Fayette County Ohio (1840) to Kosciusko County Indiana in about 1843. Included with the Dawson family were William Riley whose mother Joanna Riley had married Isaac J. Dawson. William Riley married Susan Yarnell in 1850 and lived the remainder of his life in Kosciusko County near Palestine, Burkett, and Beaver Dam. He and Susan are buried in the Palestine Cemetery. Isaac Dawson died in Kosciusko County about 1853 and Joanna married again to James Mason. James Mason and Joanna Riley Dawson Mason migrated to Iowa where they died in the early 1870s.
