It just might help someone, since relatives seemed to move together, I am searching Flory, relatives that also came here are Musser, Hartman, Wertenberger, Bowers, Hoover.

How about the Reverse, my great grandfather Francis Marion Elder was born in Kosciusko County, and moved to Starke County after he was married. He was the son of William and Sarah (Hoppis) Elder, and he married Elizabeth Lydia Lightcap. Francis and Elizabeth Elder lived on a farm the Bass Lake, area. Elizabeth died around the turn of the Century and Francis died in 1944. They had four children Lester, b. September 9, 1882 (my Grandfather); Ray; Irvin; and Goldie.
