    3. Duke's Funeral Home was located in Warsaw 1890 -1930? I talked to a sexton for the cemetary and he said that If a person died and it wasn't their lot then their name would be placed under the buyer and that they would not show up on the cemetary records And if they did not have a stone they did not get recorded not only did the sexton say this but many researchers have told me this in the past.As for the obit Both of them made the front page when they died but no burial place was ever mentioned I know the Pierceton cemetaries well I have 8 at Ryerson/ Hillcrest and 6 at Union. any ideas? obey@kconline.com

    2. kevin jones
    3. Thank you for responding on the cemetaries in Pierceton .My delima is that my Gr GR GR parents death records ,Civil War burial records state that they are buried in Pierceton but not in what cemetary. I've researched the Washington Township records and I dont find their names. I need to find The Dukes Funeral Home records to see in what cemetary they are in .I've come to realize that If a Tomb stone wasn't found then they were not recorded. I feel this may be my problem The Names I'm looking for are Thomas J Power(s)buried in 1924 and his wife Hettie Ann( Kyle) Powers buried in 1917. Thomas J parents are Thomas and Jane Oswego cemetary. Hettie ( Hattie) John and Sarah ( Kemple) WHERE COULD THEY BE ? obey@kconline.com

I am researching Caleb Ritchhart who married Rachel Doty in Williams Co, OH in 1842. My research keeps taking me back to the Richharts in Ross Co, OH. I found two marriage records for Caleb Richhart in Ross county, one to Julian Lowery in 1828 and one to Susan L Goosard in 1839. Caleb signed his named Ritchhart, but I have seen it spelled numerous ways.

    1. [INKOSCIU] Death of Iva Nelson
    2. I would like to send my condolences to the family and friends of Iva Nelson and apologize that these wishes are being sent so late! With the rush of the holidays, I hadn't checked my email in about a month. As I was sorting through all of it I found the message about Iva's passing. I never got the chance to meet Iva in person but we corresponded occasionally and sent emails back and forth. She and I are related, distantly on several lines, as most of us who have ties to Kosciusko Co. are, and 4 years or so ago I was just beginning to search for those connections and ran across Iva. She had been at this game for several years and was very helpful in answering my questions, teaching me the ropes, and being just a VERY nice person! I am ashamed to say that I got busy with my life; husband retiring from the Army, moving, kids, ... and didn't keep up with her in the last couple of years. I thought I'd get caught up around here and have more time... Kathy Gavin

    1. [INKOSCIU] Death of George E. Heaton, help, please!?
    2. Hello all. My mother's uncle, George E. Heaton, died this past Tuesday. He was a long time resident of the Winona Lake area, moving to Tucson, AZ in the last few years of his life, due to poor health and to be near his only child. My mother would like a copy of his obituary, she is retired and living in NM. I checked the Warsaw Times Union online but they do not have any of their obits there. If anyone carries the paper could you please email me a copy of the obit? It would either be in today's paper or sometime in the past couple of days. Thanks a bunch!!
