Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mh.2ADI/167.1 Message Board Post: Bill, I am looking for info on a Mr. Drake married Janette Robbins. I do not have a first name for Mr. Drake. I know that Janette was born in 1881 and lived in Harrison Twp, Kosciusko County, Ind with her parents, Jeremiah and Mary Romine Robbins. In Janette's mother's obit in 1911 it lists her as Janette Drake from Chicago. I have not found a marriage for her in Kosciusko county so I don't know where she married a Mr. Drake. If you would come across a line in your Drake family that lists her, I would appreciate any info. Thanks. Donna

Surnames: Weaver/Geiger Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mh.2ADI/640.1 Message Board Post: While I can't specifically answer your question, I do have some connection to Weavers, those surnames are familiar in the Hastings area of Kosc Co., and I remember Minnie Weaver from when I was a little, little girl. She probably died between 1968 and 1970. Call the Milford (IN) Public Library and ask for Dorothy Haney (or send an email through their staff listing). She'll know whether there was some distant relationship, and find Minnie's obit for you. My line is through William Weaver (1848 - 1943) who married Margaret Geiger (1948 - 1906) in 1870 in Kosciusko County. Someone told me William Weaver's parents were Jacob Weaver and Catherine Sonday, but I have never been able to prove or disprove. I believe William was born in either Stark or Darke Co Ohio (sorry - they rhyme, my grandfather mumbled, and didn't realize until too late). Good luck!

    2. VPB
    3. While browsing in an antique store in Nappanee IN , I found a large framed historic print titled, "Settlers of Kosciusko County Ind.". It has photos and signatures of seven men. As best I could read the signatures, they are: Geo. Moon, W C Evans/Goins?, P L Burryan, Sr ?, T B Chapman, Metcalf Brok, J A Frank and the last name was mostly obscured by the frame but looks like A E and last name starts with B. The price is $39. I asked permission to photograph it and have 4 digital photos. I'll be glad to send copies to anyone who might be interested or give the address and phone number of the store if desired. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mh.2ADI/451.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for your information , I have now updated my information on my site. It appears that your James Bybee is in fact the brother of my great grandfather, Adam Bybee. They were the son's of Sherrod Bybee and Nancy Royal. Sherrod, b. 1770-1780 in Ky married Nancy Royal, b. 1780 in Ar, married in 1808.They had the following children, George D,b. circa 1808, Sherrod A, b. circa 1812, James, b. circa 1815,Adam, b. circa 1820 and Mary Elizabeth, b. circa 1824. After the death of Sherrod, it appears that Nancy remarried James Henry McPherson aned they had one son, Charles Royal McPherson, b. 10 Jan 1832 at Little Rock, Ar. According to White Counnty Court Records in Ar, Adam Bibee petitioned for a divorce from Elizabeth Bibee on 15 April 1845 and the divorce was granted, therefore his marriage to Nancy Royal on 27 April 1848 in White Co, Ar was his second marriage. Adam and Nancy had 2 daughters, Nancy b. 1849 and Mary Molly, b. 1855. Mary Molly married my grandfather, James Mil! ton Pinkett and they had two sons, James Henry and William Oscar, who was my father.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mh.2ADI/451.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for your reply. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. We have had serious sickness in family since Nov. so I don't have opportunity to check boards too often. I have no other info on this James Bybee than what I posted earlier. However, the James Bybee I have seems to be same one you wrote about. But my info shows James Bybee, born 1815, first married Mary Cook on June 19, 1838 in White Co ARK. Mary Cook was born 1822 in Montgomer Co ARK; dau of John Cook, b. 1791 Franklin Co VA, d. May 28, 1858. James Bybee and Mary Cook had four children - Mary Elizabeth Jane b. 1839; Joseph Marion, b. 1849; Nancy Safronia Angeline b. 2-09-1850; and Martha Bybee, b. 1855. Nancy Safronia Angeline m. Wm. Jackson Baker in 1865; they were my grandparents on Baker side. After Mary Cook Bybee death, I show that James Bybee married Elizabeth Post, b. 1832 in Georgia. I have just one son, James Bybee b. 1858. There were obviously more (such as those you have listed). Thanks! so much for your info. Perhaps I can glean something from these names. Hope this helps your research. Wanda Baker Prinz
