    3. Hello, Rhoads/Rhodes researchers: I periodically forward Rhoades/Rhodes information from here in Ohio that might be connected to my home county of Kosciusko. Today I was looking at a website and found some Rhodes/Rhoads directly connected with Kosciusko Co. This website has antique photos of Jacob Rhodes who married Etta Snyder, taken in Warsaw IN and found in Niles MI; J.G. Rhodes, taken in Martinsburg PA and found in Dunkanville PA; Dan Rhoads, taken in Ft. Wayne and found in Allen MI; and Wm Rhodes, his wife and daughter, taken in Goshen IN and found in Niles MI. If you go to http://users.erinet.com/31363/fordand.htm you will meet the two gentlemen who scour the countryside for genealogy-related material and sell it and you can look over their list of items. 3. Please go to the following Web Site www.stiller.com Wolfgang Stiller is the foremost expert in the country on Viruses. On his Web Page, check the Virus Report for new Viruses. There is a report there on the Happy99 Trojan. There is information that explains that the Happy99 is not a Virus, but still can be troublesome. It tells how to deal with it. Any time you get a Virus warning, check with Stiller for the truth. Jerry Christ Gainesville, Fl. I'm updating my Norton Anti-Virus as soon as I send this message out - I recommend that ya'll do the same. Most of these messages are called "Hoax Viruses" and as a computer network administrator, I always check them out before jumping the gun. This one is real. The following is what McAfee's website says about it. Cheryl Hawley --------------------------------------------------------- W32/Ska is a worm that was first posted to several newsgroups and has been reported to several of the AVERT Labs locations worldwide. When this worm is run it displays a message "Happy New Year 1999!!" and displays "fireworks" graphics. The posting on the newsgroups has lead to its propagation. It can also spread on its own, as it can attached itself to a mail message and be sent unknowingly by a user. Because of this attribute it is also considered to be a worm. AVERT cautions all users who may receive the attachment via email to simply delete the mail and the attachment. The worm infects a system via email delivery and arrives as an attachment called Happy99.EXE. It is sent unknowingly by a user. When the program is run it deploys its payload displaying fireworks on the users monitor. Note: At this time no destructive payload has been discovered. When the Happy.EXE is run it copies itself to Windows\System folder under the name SKA.EXE. It then extracts, from within itself, a DLL called SKA.DLL into the Windows\System folder if one does not already exist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------

    3. Hello. Looking for information about the parents of Eliza Jane BUSSERT, who was born in 1851 in Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana. I do not have the names of her parents. She had five sisters named: Mary Ann, Nancy Ann, Adeline, Mandy (Amanda?) and Libby (Elizabeth?). Eliza Jane BUSSERT married George Stevens in 1867 in Delphos, OH. They lived in Adams County, Indiana for 60 years or so, then moved to Sturgis, MI where they lived the rest of their lives. They had nine children: Sanford, Clayton, Cameron, Eva, Quinn, Otis (my grandfather), Jane, Rosa and Ella Stevens. What was the name of Eliza Jane BUSSERT's parents? Where did her sisters live and where are their decendants? Any help/information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Janet. A. Nelson e-mail: [email protected]

    3. Hi Brian; Glad to hear you will be stopping in Warsaw during your drive back to CA. I think it would be a good idea to set up an appointment for the Historical Society as they are only open on Tues. and Wed. mornings from 9 to 1. The research library at the society is open on Thur., Fri., Sat. from 10 to 4 and Sun. from 1 to 4 when the museum is open to the public. On Tues. and Wed. only the office is open, but for people coming from out of town they make a special effort to accommodate that visitor. You can reach them at Kos. Co. Hist. Soc., P. O. Box 1071, attention Jeanne Jones, Warsaw, IN 46581-1071 or phone 1-219-269-1078. We are about l hour south of the toll road - get off at the Bristol exit and travel south on St. Rd. 15 through Goshen then on to Warsaw, passing through Leesburg 6 miles short of Warsaw. We have several new motels in Warsaw (Hampton Inn, Holiday Express) plus several others that have been here - such as Royal 8, Days Inn, Dollar Inn and the Ramada which is newly remodeled within the last year. Also a Comfort Inn which is fairly new. These motels are all on the east side of Warsaw and adjacent to U. S. 30. Hope you enjoy your stay in our town and county.
