My Paul Strickland md Amelia Anderson in Brown Co OH in 1823. He moved his family to Ripley Co IN and then to Jennings Co IN. He had the following children: Marquis Lafeyette, Melvina, Martha, Ezra, and Paul and probably some more. My Paul jr. married Almira Wiser from Crawford Co IN. They had a Martha Strickland that married Obed Miles. Obed Miles parents were William W. and Sarah Clarkson Miles Sarah Clarkson parents' were Lawson Clarkson and Louisa Denton. the Clarkson came from VA to Shelby Co KY and then up to Jennings Co IN in early 1830's. The Dentons came from Garrard Co KY and up to Jennings after James Denton the father died in Oldham Co KY. William W. Miles parents were James D. Miles Sr and Tamar Pool. James D. Miles was born in Shelby Co KY also. Tamar Pool's parents were Thomas Pool and Rebecca Rush. There was an Indian mound found on Thomas Pool's land in Jennings Co.
