    1. [INJENNIN] Huber
    2. I am trying to locate additional information on an Elizabeth Huber who is buried in St James Cemetery, across the street from St Joseph. Fr. Brown at St Joseph has been extremely helpful to me hunting information on a George Huber family who lived in the area. This Elizabeth Huber died Nov 23, 1883 at the age of about 85 years. Fr. Brown searched, but the church had no additional information. Is there anyone who might give me some ideas about where to go from here to see where she was born, any children, or any other info about her. My reason is that George came from Germany; his mother's name was Elizabeth. I would like to know if this might be her or not. Was there a newspaper at the time that might have an obit? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks. Carlene

    3. Hi Carlene, I checked the book 1 of the death records, which I have a copy of here at home and Elizabeth Huber is not listed. That is not surprising since many of the early deaths were not recorded (book 1 covers 1882-1890). There are newspapers at the library and I will take a look when I am there next and see what is there. Please be patient--since my husband took a job almost 2 hours away each way and having the little ones at home (5 ages 5 and under), my library time is VERY limited. But I will let you know what I find. Did Father Brown check baptismal records for you? What do you know about George? Do you know when he died? Oh, I just thought of one more thing. I do have a few townships of the 1870 census here at home. I'll see if Spencer is one of them and let you know if I find any Hubers. Terry
