Turman - Sarah Patterson 17 Mar 1847 Book 4, page 216 David Turman - Ann Blanks 02 July 1848 Book 4, page 334 This note on David Turman fits the family oral history. Anna was the eldest daughter of Willis Blanks and a Cherokee Indian from Cumberland N.C. They settled in IN in the early 1840's. She was married to Alex Levi, David Turman and later Jessie Pettiford (died 5/3/1864). There is a link to either Christopher or Hannibal Hood later, but have had no luck in determining that link.
