Hello LUX List, Good Evening! I am still trying to find the parents of my Great Grand Mother Katherine LUX was born in 1856, died in 1931 and was buried in Riverview Cemetery Seymour, Indiana. Katherine married Joseph STEIN, son of Sebastian STEIN and Catherine EFFINGER, on 8 December 1877 in Jennings County, Indiana. (Joseph STEIN was born on 22 November 1854, died in 1938 and was buried in Riverview Cemetery Seymour, Indiana.) The following information is a response by my mother to the email below from Sue Hart. "Sounds good I do not know to much about the Lux family. The only one we had contact with was John, he lived in Santa Barbara ,California when we were there in 1948." Have a Great Evening! Looking forward to hearing from you all! Warm Regards, Dennis W. I'm pretty sure she was the daughter or granddaughter of William Gregory Lux. My husband is descended from William's brother, Ephriam D. Lux. William and Ephriam both went to Jackson Co., Ind. from Ky. William married Mary Ann Kelly there in 1829. William stayed there, but Ephriam and his family (most of them) moved to Texas with the Mercer Colony by 1850. I don't know of any other Lux families that went to Indiana, especially Jackson Co.
