The 7th annual Lett family reunion was held in the summer of 1932 at the Fielding Lett farm (belonging at that time to his grandson Haskell Lett? ) near Slate, IN... Two questions really... 1) Which newspaper of the time might have carried full information on the reunion? 2) Since is was the 7th annual I am assuming that there might have been 6 earlier ones---Would the same newspaper cover the previous 7 years as well? My aunt remembers attending this reunion, vaguely...She was young and was furious because she had to go inside and help bring out "all that food" (instead of loafing like the younger kids--she was also spoiled and more than a little bit shy she says). My aunt, grandparents, and a cousin of my grandmother's drove up for the reunion from Louisville, KY. I am hoping that a write up of the reunion might include some biographical info on some of the others attending--who were said to have come from 7 different states for the reunion, including California. The headline may include a title such as "The Sina Lett Memorial Foundation" or the name Jessie Akester...The organizer and her main historian were quite grandiose and I am sure they would not have overlooked an opportunity to get mention of this reunion in as many papers as they could. Any help locating this information would certainly be appreciated. Thanks, Sherri
