Carlene, You are right, the health dept. would not have death records for those dates. They might have some, but VERY few. Your best bet would be to check the Jennings Co. cemetery records, I think the library in North Vernon has cemetery records. Or, if if they were affilliated with a church, and it had a cemetery, they might be buried in that cemetery. Also, if they lived near another county, you might check the cemetery records for that county.
