I didn't know James D. was James "Duvall". In fact, all I had on him was that he married 1832 Tamar Pool. I don't have a list of their children. The Benjamin Taylor who died 1776 in Culpeper Co., Va. (Will Book B, pp 178,179) listed his daughter Elizabeth Miles and his son-in-law Charles Miles. He mentioned several Taylor grandchildren but no Miles grandchildren. The will was written 11 Feb. 1775 and probated 17 August 1776. So, his daughter was married by 1775 to Charles Miles. However, there is NO PROOF that this Elizabeth and Charles Miles were the parents of our Reuben, etc. A Charles Miles did die in 1799 Culpeper but he had no will. I have a copy of his inventory but cannot locate it right now. Its nice to know of another "cousin". Please keep in touch. Family researched by Mrs. J.M. Was this in a family bible or something? Research There is no reference to the four sons of Charles & Elizabeth in the Virginia County Taxes by Fothergill. Charles, John F. , and their widow mother is listed, but William, Reuben William, Thomas, & Gabriel are not mentioned. There is mention of Gabriel and Reuben in the Pendleton Co., KY Court Records by 1800. According to family folklore, Reuben's wife was a Duvall maybe even a sister to Mary Duvall who married John F. Miles but research has yet to prove this. Not much is known of Reuben because he died before the 1850 census. He did manage to marry his daughters off to the influential Whittaker brothers.
