    2. Thank-you, Doris, the man was Davis, Charles { Elsie's father}, the one under him was suppose to be Davis, Amanda, since she is only 14, she is probably Charles granddaughter, his daughter Amanda would have been 40. That answered my question. ~ Janeen Davis Proctor ~

    3. Does anyone have info on Caleb Moncrief or any of the Moncrief of Jennings Co. Caleb helped find the Concord Baptist Church now called the Butlerville Baptist Church in 1826 and was an ordained minister. His son James was also pastor of the Butlerville Church. Caleb was married to Jane Blackburn (my ggg-grandparents) and they had 9 children. James, John Thomas, Maxa, and Gideon were the sons. They bought property in Vernon in 1821 and then moved to Butlerville. Also the James Butler family, James married their daughter Jane in 1833. 1. [INJENNIN] Green's in Jennings County
    2. Judy Boie
    3. Hello to List, Trying to find my GREEN line connection in Jennings County. Not much information to go on, but this is all I have at this time. My gr gr grandmother - Elizabeth GREEN - b: 1822/23 in NC married on 03-OCT-1839 in Jennings County, to John F. Trousdale. They lived in Vernon TWP in 1850. (1850 Census spelled their name TROWSDALE) Their Children: All born in Jennings County = 1) Martha J. - b:1840 - m: James C. Edminster 2) Mary Louisa - b:1842 - m: Egbert E. Toms 3) Anna I. - b:1845 - m: Hezekiah Tillman 4) Thomas - b: 1847 5) Morgan D.- b: 1856 This family lived in the Vernon area for 30 years and then pulled up stakes and moved to Minnesota in 1869/70. I think (?) Elizabeth had a brother - John M. GREEN who married a WILKINS in Jennings Co in 1860. (Probably a 2nd marriage for John.) John was a school teacher at the "DEAN" school. Any Records on this school??? Any and all responses welcome. Thanks, Judy Mills Boie

    3. Hi All! I notice that the list has been a bit slow lately... I guess everyone's been busy. I've felt terrible that Bonita and Terry have offered to help find information for me, and that I haven't had anything to share in return... well, I went to the National Archives on Friday and Monday, and photocopied the pages of the 1860 and 1900 censuses with my Reichles and Gorbets on it... it's not much information, but hopefully someone will find this helpful... I'm only going to list surnames because of time constraints, so if you see something, please let me know and I'll email the rest of the information given for a household. I'm afraid the photocopy of the 1860 page did not come out very clear, so I'll primarily list the people I'm researching. 1860, North Vernon, Jennings County, IN CRAWFORD, Lewis REICHLE, Christopher REICHLE, John BROWN, Benjamin HUCKLEBERRY, J P STOTT, James GABOT, C S (should be spelled GORBET) RUCK, Samuel BAY, Elizabeth 1900, Center Township, North Vernon, Jennings County, IN (p. 202) BALL SHEPHERDSON ROBISON REICHLE MORGAN RASH DIXON MCGINTY SHICKER HARRINGTON HULL 1900, Center Township, North Vernon, Jennings County, IN (p. 199) EBERTS MCGUIRE KAY EBERTS ADOLPH BLAIN WILDEY WINSOR WHITE SHELLY REICHLE KNOLL SCHUSTER Cheers, Kristin NetZero Platinum No Banner Ads and Unlimited Access Sign Up Today - Only $9.95 per month! http://www.netzero.net
