Elizabeth Peoples, dau. of Hector and Martha Peoples. I'll check in to the Lewis Wainscott you mentioned and get back to you. It would help if I had dates on the several members of the Letts family. Do you have dates for Daniel Lett Sr. and his children?

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Hi.2ADE/1076.1 Message Board Post: Hi Sue, I think we have been in touch before, but here are my Jennings co IN Wainscott folks: Daniel Lett married Mary Wainscott 19 Feb 1824 in Owen co KY (bond by John Winscott and permission to marry signed by Catherine Wainscott, mother and Richard Winscott guardian) Daniel Lett died in Jennings co IN about 27 Mar 1837. Mary "Polly" Wainscott Lett was listed as age 58 in the 1860 census of Jennings co IN living with her daughter Zelphia Phillips (a widow of William Phillips) and grandchildren. Greenville "Green" Wainscott maried Martha Peoples in Jennings co IN. I think that Martha was the daughter of Martha "Patsy" Lett and Hector Peoples (and not the widow herself). I don't knwo when Hector and Patsy married but Hector had land in Jennings co by 1817 (Jeffersonville land office records) and Patsy signed as one of the witnesses on her sister Zilphia's marriage lic to John Hopkins 24 Oct 1814 Pendleton co KY. John Hopkins was made the guardian of Patsy's minor son, John Frances Peoples, when Hector died Aug of 1838. 'Granville' Wainscott is listed as an "heir by marriage" in a petition to sell some real estate, along with John Hopkins, in Feb of 1839. A "Lewis Wainscott" is listed as a buyer at the sale of Hector Peoples estate. I would love to share info on these people. Sherri

Discharged November 15, 1862. Source: Report of the Adjutant General of the State Of Indiana. (InRoster) Published in 1865 - 66 by Holloway. He married a Julia ? She was born Indiana 1841. Maybe your daughter can find marriage license also. His service record was what lead me to Jennings Co. Indiana. It was his place of residence when he enlisted. And the census stated all were born in Indiana. Julia, must have passed away bet. 1880 - 1885 For I found a marriage record for Wilford and Dorcas E. Lindsey. They were married July 16, 1885 in Shannon Co. Mo. This is all I can tell you about Wilford Ferren Farran. Please let me know if you learn anything. I would appreciate it very much.

And Wilfred 20 Indiana. The Willie M. 16 you speak of in the 1880 census must be a relative for Wilford named his 1st. son William nickname "Willie E. M. Farran"born 1866 In. His 2nd son (our family) is Charles Maurice Farran b. 1870 Indiana. They moved to Mo. and were listed in the 1870 Butler Co. census.
