I suppose that you have their marriage date 10 June 1828 in Jennings co IN? Benjamin's name appears as one of the people involved in the investigation into the claim (and finding) that Edward Randall was insane. Edward married to Sarah Hudson on 29 Dec 1834 in Jennings co IN. Somewhere in my huge pile of papers I have info about the two Hudson women. It may have more mention of Benjamin, I will check. 1. Re: [INJENNIN] Conners/Connersville
    2. Hope I didn't send you on a wild goose chase. The settlement to which I refer IS the major Conner settlement which is noow known as "Conner Prairie" and is the site of much teaching about early Indiana. I don't have the info at hand to tell you about which brother it was that went to Connersville, but I will try to locate it for you. The address for Conner Prairie is 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers, IN 46038 or www.connerprairie.org. They freely send out information about the area and their programs for both adults and children(about 75,000 per year). If nothing else, it makes good reading. I do remember that Mr. Conner was the first settler in the area and took an Indian wife. Later, he decided to move on and she, not wanting to leave her family and tribe, stayed behind. He later married another. I do not remember whether he took the children with him or not. The original house is still there and forms the basis for the whole complex which includes barns, blacksmith, shopkeeper, store, school, covered bridge, etc. Happy hunting.

I believe that Jean and I are talking about the Eliza Jane Ferren listed on the 1860 Census for Jennings County Indiana (Page 299) as being 12 years old and born in Indiana. This would be close to the birth date of 15 March 1846 listed on her marriage certificate. If I read your descendant chart accurately, your Eliza Jane was born 12 July 1874 in Richland County, Illinois. (And I also see an Eliza born February 1894 in Richland County, Illinois.) Ron

I'm particularly interested since the potential dates of Willis Leeds are very close to that of a missing relative I had. He was Willaim Stanton Leeds, b: March 1865 in Indiana, d: ? in Kansas; m: 1889 to Mollie Price Wilson. My source is also: US Census 1900, for Jennings County, North Vernon Ward, Center Township, Indiana. The listed states of origin for William's parents are both Ohio. I'm looking into the possibility that either Harry or Willis was the father of William Stanton Leeds. Do you have any additional info on the sons?

    1. [INJENNIN] Charlotte Temple McDONALD and Odom POOL, 1834-1854?
    2. J.C.T. Pool
    3. Charlotte Temple McDONALD married Odom POOL on 27 Feb 1834 in Jennings Co. They lived in Jennings Co (1840 Census), then Clark Co (1850 Census), and again in Jennings Co (aft 1850, deeds, etc). She signed a deed in 1854 and then seems to disappear. I now believe a child, Alcephus POOL, was born on about 4 Jun 1854. Consequently, she may have died after the child was born. Odom POOL remarried in 1857 and migrated to Douglas Co, KS and subsequently to Virginia City, MT. Odom POOL was almost certainly the son of Joseph POOL and Hannah HOOKER of Jennings Co. Any information (birth, death, ??) about Charlotte Temple McDONALD would be greatly appreciated.
