    1. Grove MM, Jennings co, IN (Quaker)
    2. According to Jerry Richmond, "Grove MM in Jennings co,IN was set off from Driftwood MM in 1861 and became an independant Monthly Meeting. It is believed to have lasted until about 1903. Unfortunately, according to Heiss, no records of Grove MM are known to have survived unless something has turned up fairly recently." Does anyone know of any recently discovered information on this Quaker monthly meeting? The names of the original members? The place it was located? Who owned the land/home where the meeting first met? Was land transferred to the church from a member? ---Anything at all might give clues that I could use for my COX and LETT families in Jennings county. Thanks, Sherri

    1. 100 YRS OLD EDISON "BUDE" STARK / N VERNON PLAIN DEALER
    2. Antoinette Waughtel Sorensen
    3. I am very interested in this gentleman. My great grandaunt Jane WAUGHTELL was married to an Enoch STARK in Washington County, Indiana in 1838 and I believe she had two children of this marriage ~ possibly a James and a Sophia. Curious if "Bude" ties in with Enoch in any way. Jane remarried in 1840 to a John SUMMA and until I found Sophia's marriage license in September while researching in Salt Lake City, all the census records showed James & Sophia under the SUMMA surname. Can anyone help me with this. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Antoinette (Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington) waughtel@oz.net

    3. Thanks to Chris, Gilbert, Annette and others for helping to identify Cook's Park found in an old photo I have. Chris, the post card of the "Casino at Cooks Park" is the same buliding in my photo except that the lights are not apparent. I suppose what I thought was a lake was actually Pegion Creek. Now I need to indentify the young lady in the photo. Her name is written as Ethel Traylor and information on the back of the photo says she is 17 and it is dated as 1918. My family line of Traylors are from around Evansville and Indianapolis. No one in my family can identify who Ethel Traylor is or how she fits into our line. Some of my folks are in their 90s. I am sending this note to all the Indiana lists that I subscribe to in an attempt to find a connection. If you receive more then one copy of this communique please disregard all except one. Again, thanks to all those that have helped, Paul Traylor Milwaukee Wisconsin ptraylor@gateway.net

    1. Re: HELP!
    2. I have the 1860 Indiana census from FTM. It has many errors, but can be helpful. I located a William W. Riggs age 21, Head of household, born in IN on page 0129 Jennings county. There was a Sarah Riggs age 64 b. NY (Insane) living with a Glenn family. Isaac N. Day, age 18, b. IN, page 244. Looks like his father was Charles age 73 b. CT. Wife Rachel b. NC age 53. Could be a second wife. Couldn't locate a Polk Day. Wonder if that was a nickname? Karen
