ALMOST FORGOT! Don't forget to check the Jay County civil war soldiers listings onthe Jay County site..there are two men listed with the FIERS surname! -----Original Message----- From: George Simmons [SMTP:simmons@iei.net] Sent: Sunday, January 03, 1999 1:32 PM To: INJAY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: JAMES COLEMAN FIERS I have a bunch of Jay Co ancestors, FIERS, REDKEY'S, WHITEMAN'S and McKINTY'S. Much of my info comes from old obit's collected and scrapbooked by my g-g'dad, James Walter Fiers of Redkey, IN. I have one individual, James Coleman (Cole) Fiers, whom I can't identify as to parents. I don't know his birth or death dates. I have obit's of wife and son. He married Sarah Jane Keesaer on June 16 1881. She was born 1862 so JCF was probably born 1850-1862. JCF was still living Feb 25 1916 when his son Grover Cleveland Fiers died. JCF is not mentioned in obit of wife who died Sept 6 1926. If you can help identify James Coleman Fiers I will be most grateful. George Simmons, Indianapolis
