Goodmorning everyone! A new look-up volunteer has joined us..she is Phyliis Franklin and her resource is Dr. J. J. Kidder's baby book, which she has indexed. Dr. Kidder practiced in south eastern Jay County, office in Salamonia, Madison Township, from 1896 to 1954 when he died. He delivered babies in Jay County, Randolph County, Indiana, Darke County, and Mercer County Ohio. Included in his records consistently was the father's name, mother's maidian name, babies name and birthdate, time of birth, place of birth, child's position in the family, i.e. 1st, 3rd etc. Other information included but inconsistently was parent's place of birth, father's occupation, babies weight and length. There were about 1500 entrys. Also up this morning is a listing of cemetary inscpriptions from Winters Cemetary, and a new photo in the album. The photo album is getting quite popular and I may have to "re-jig" it as I expected some of you may find it slow to load! Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!
