my husband's ancestor was a George HARTER born in 1791 either in MD or PA. His wife was Sarah. They lived in Fairfield Co OH. However, George left land located in Jay Co IN to his descendants, so, I am hopeful that there is a Jay Co connection for this HARTER family.
