I am also researching the McLaughlin/ McGlaughlin line in Jay Co. My family came from VA to Meigs Co., OH; then to Jay Co. in the mid-1800's. My line has stayed in Indiana, at least the close relatives. I am having a hard time finding information on the wives' family lines. John MCLAUGHLIN (b. 21 Feb 1799, Bath Co., VA)(d. 16 Mar 1860, Jay Co., IN) married Barbara SPILLMAN on 26 Aug 1823 in Meigs Co., OH they had 11 children!
