Arlene, Now, I need your help in sorting out these Abells. Did you know that there were two Abell brothers, Pollard and Enoch in Jackson Co., Ind.? Each had a son named John. Pollard's John was born 11/9/1821 and died 4/12/1866. He shows up in 1850 census as age 28 with his mother Catharine....Pollard died in 1840. In 1860 census there is John Abell age 38 listed with wife Angelin age 29 with children Francis 7 and Maria 2. I assumed this to be same John as shown with Catharine in 1850. I found a marriage of John Abell and Angeline D. Brown 6/8/1851. Now there is another John Abell in 1850 census, this one with Theresa, who is widow of Pollard's brother, Enoch Abell. So, now I am not sure which John married Angeline Brown in 1851. It all seemed to fit so well with Pollard's family. Can you help me sort it out? Thanks.
