http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form The above link was provided by by buddy and recently discovered cuz' Gina Richardson. Using it along with some other info provided by others on this list and the book I had borrowed from my meeting's library. I have some info to share with you right now. MAPLE GROVE FRIENDS MEETING First, I was told by someone who wishes to remain un-named wanted to let everyone know "There had been a Quaker settlement in northern Huntington County, Dallas Twp. from about the mid 1850's until around 1900. Not quite sure of the dates right now. They called it Quaker Corners and Maple Grove Quaker Settlement. There is still a cemetery there with many Quaker's buried and the cemetery is still active." and this person also told me "to the INHUNT list about having relatives in the Maple Grove Cemetery that there is a reading of the cemetery in the Huntington Library. They can write to them if they do not live close to Huntington (send a SASE) and they will see if those names are listed in the reading. The library also has obituaries that might be of interest to these people." From Harold Clupper "Here's what little I have: My gg-gp, John C. Brown and Phebe E. Silver, were married in Preble Co., OH and moved to Maple Grove, a Friends community near Huntington, IN. Their daughter married into the Holloway family living at Lincolnville, Wabash Co., IN which is about 1 mile west of the Huntington county line. Their MM was Rush Creek and was established in 1854 - the same time as was the Maple Grove MM." Harold also has a picture and other info on the Lincolnville Friends Meeting, if you are interested. Just post a note to the list and he will see it. Several others have also e-mailed me or posted items about Maple Grove. above link info is this Feature Name: Maple Grove Cemetery Feature Type: cemetery State: Indiana County: Huntington USGS 7.5' x 7.5' Map: Bippus 405404N 0853536W Map from this link had the cemetery at the intersection of 500n and 750w, nothing was indicated on my mapping software to concur.
