Starks-Kacusis Katherine L. Starks-Kacusis, 80, Huntington, died at 5:41 p.m. Sunday (June 19, 2005) at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Arrangements are pending at the Deal-Rice & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Laberta M. Williams Laberta M. Williams, 89, Huntington, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday (June 16, 2005) at Miller's Merry Manor in Huntington. Mrs. Williams worked at Wabash Magnetics in Huntington for 12 years. She was a member of College Park Church and was a co-founder of the Kim League at the Huntington YMCA. She was born Feb. 16, 1916, in Huntington to Mathias and Eva Hoover Wechsler. She married Ezra Williams in Clinton, Iowa on May 12, 1940. Her husband died May 14, 1986. Survivors include three sons, Nello T. Williams and Rollo K. Williams, both of Gillette, Wyo., and Kevin H. Williams, Bronson, Mich.; six daughters, Joyce Rogers, Park City, Utah, Loxie Hite, Billings, Mont., Kathy Hollowell, Huntington, Penny Wiseman, Berne, Debra Hansen, Farmington, N.M., and Tamra Monroe, St. Paris, Ohio; and 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. A brother, Clifford Wechsler, preceded her in death. Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Deal-Rice and Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with calling one hour prior to services, at Pilchers Chapel Church. Rev. Donovan Voigt and Rev. Russell Buzzard will officiate. Teusch, 84, 1580 Etna Ave., died at 4:55 a.m. Saturday (June 18, 2005) at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Mrs. Teusch was a homemaker. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was born Aug. 11, 1920, in Huntington, a daughter of Donald and Elizabeth Couch Burns. She married Clarence Teusch Jan. 16, 1937, in Huntington. Her husband died Oct. 23, 1962. Survivors include a son, Michael Teusch of Florida; two daughters, Suzanne Raper and Dorie Heyde, both of Huntington; 35 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sons, Donald Teusch, Jack Teusch, Tom Teusch, and Joe Teusch; a daughter, Linda Shepperd; three brothers, James Burns, Edwin Burns and Wilmer Burns; two sisters, Edith Hobbs and Janet Slater; a grandson and two great-grandchildren. Harris, 71, Huntington, died at 1:18 p.m. Saturday (June 18, 2005) at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mrs. Harris had been a child care provider in Huntington for many years. She had also worked at E-Systems, Memcor Division, for 15 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the American Business Women's Association, and the Tri-State Gas Engine Association. She was born Oct. 20, 1933 in Huntington County, a daughter of Wilbur H. and Mary A. Holzinger Buzzard. She was a 1951 graduate of Huntington Township High School. She married Robert E. Harris in Huntington on Aug. 18, 1961. Her husband survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert "Bob" Harris Jr., Huntington; four daughters, Joda Gerringer, Jona George, Donna Harrell, and Mary Mygrant, all of Huntington; a brother, Morris Buzzard, Huntington; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Max Buzzard; and a sister, Marcelene Stricker. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Chenoweth Jack R. Chenoweth, 73, Huntington, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday (June 15, 2005) at The Heritage of Huntington,1180W-500N. Mr. Chenoweth was a field underwriter for Auto Owners Insurance for 30 years. He served in 11nd Airborne Division of the Army and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 7, and the Historic Forks of the Wabash. He was born July 22, 1931, in Huntington to Herbert and Alice Helm Chenoweth. He was a 1949 graduate of Lancaster High School. He married Gathel Paul on Aug. 15, 1959. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Alice Easley of Zanesville and Anne Chenoweth-Ruble of Huntington; a brother, Melvin D. Chenoweth of Fort Myers, Fla.; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at First Presbyterian Church, 50 E. Tipton St., with Rev. John Ritchie officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Lee, 86, Huntington, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday (June 18, 2005) at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and had worked in the Fine Wire Division of Triad Utrad from 1957 until retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Peters First United Church of Christ. She was born June 11, 1919 in Lawrence County. Her foster parents were Herschel and Allie Lee Nickless. She was a 1937 graduate of Lawrence County High School in Bedford. She married Richard Philip Lee in Huntington on June 11, 1938. Her husband died Aug. 5, 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Sara Hamilton, North Port, Fla., and Rebecca Huff, Portsmouth, Ohio; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, S. Richard Lee; a daughter, Saundra Ellet; an infant daughter, Patricia Ann Lee; and two grandchildren. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
