    2. STROKE IS FATAL TO HUNTINGTON WOMAN Mrs. Minnie C. Colbert, 87, 1309 Cherry street, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Huntington county hospital where she had been a patient since May 23, when she suffered a stroke. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Colbert was born February 28, 1867 to Carey Ward and Sarah Ellen Brown Bonham in Rock Creek township. She was married February 28, 1890, to Samuel E. Colbert, who is dead. Mrs. Colbert had been a resident of this city for many years and was a member of the Central Christian church, the Monday club and the WCTU. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Edna Gill, widow of Harmon Gill, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Adolph (Enid) Schenkel, this city; five grandchildren, Warren C. Gill, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Eleanor Hudsteth, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. William Schacht II and Mrs. Arnet Wells Jr., this city, and Miss Eleanor Schenkel, a student at Indiana university, and five great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters preceding her in death were Mrs. W. E. Pribble, Mrs. T. J. Redding, Mrs. Laurel Burnau, A. W. Bonham and Russell Bonham. The body is at the Briggs funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday and where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. J. Maurice Thompson, pastor of the Central Christian church officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery, Warren.
