    2. SAMUEL E. COLBERT, 54 IS DEAD OF ANEMIA Samuel E. Colbert fifty four years old, died Wednesday (6/15/1912) morning at 1 O'clock at the family residence at 421(?) South Jefferson St.. He had been ill since November 26(?) of last year and was for some time a patient at the St. Joseph Hospital at Fort Wayne. Death was caused by Pernic??? anemia. Mr. Colbert was born February 9, 1867 (1869), in Salamonie township, Huntington county to Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Colbert. He married Miss Minnie Bonham in Rock Creek township, February 28, 1890. The family came to Huntington in 1912(?). Mr. Colbert was manager of the People's garage on Warren street until his health failed when he retired from business. Surviving are the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Harmon Gill of Tueson, Ariz., and Miss Enid Colbert at home. Brothers and sisters are Mrs. Byron Thompson of Salamonie Township, David Colbert of Auburn, Mich., Mrs. Chester Sparks of Salamonie township and Mrs. Eldridge Anderson of Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Colbert was a member of the Central Christian church, the Knights of Pythias, of the I.O.O.F. and the Maccabees. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Central Christian church. The Rev. Elmer Ward Cole will officiate and burial will be at the Woodlawn cemetery at Warren.
