I have 2 diaries of my grandfather who lived in Mt. Etna, Huntington Co., Ind. He died in an accident at the Butler Piano Stool Factory at the age of 27. The 2 diaries are from 1908 & up to 11/15/1909, and he died on 11/18/1909. In the 1908 diary he listed an account of High School Commencement, Class of 1902, Mt. Etna In. List of Graduates: Grace M. Brown Lawrence L. Pinkerton (my grandfather) George R. Pastener William H. Giltner Morton Shilts - Teacher. He also listed the graduating class of 1904 of Mt. Etna High School. Graduation was on Saturday April 16, 1904, held in the Mt. Etna Opera House List of Graduates: Vivian Hildebrand - Salulatorian Hazel Hawkins Nellie Brown Guy Billiter - Validictiorian Hugh Jeffrey Invocation and Benediction - J.Z. Barrett Class Address - A. H. Kierkoff. Presentation of Diplomas: M.M. Clapp Presentation of Bibles: Mrs. Mae Hawk He then described what each graduate wore. Hope the above info might help someone. Pat
