I am asking because I just received the Estate papers on my husband's gggrandfather Jesse Beal, and on these papers there is a record from Huntington County, Polk Township: Thomas Fleming versus Thomas Miles, Abraham Keemer and Isaac Keemer, with Jesse Beal as Replevin bail. For some reason that I have not yet found on these papers, Miles and the Keeners owed $185 to Fleming. My quest is to find out if our Jesse Beal or wife Mary A. are at all related to the Miles or Keener family, or if Jesse was just a very good friend that would become a "replevin bail" for them.
